Mini Case Study: Riverwood Viaduct
Challenge:
The Riverwood Viaduct exhibited severe deck delamination and rebar corrosion due to failing expansion joints and years of de-icing salt exposure.
Solution:
Our team performed a phased deck rehabilitation. This involved replacing the failed joints, removing unsound concrete, cleaning and coating the existing rebar, and applying a new high-performance concrete overlay with a waterproof membrane. The work was completed at night to minimize traffic disruption.
